like a frog in a pot...

... slowly being heated up
...we didn't even notice what was gone

perhaps we are too late to save the place we live & call home

weather

big snow
we have BIG SNOW
anytime the interstate is closed down due to road conditions
it's a qualifier for BIG SNOW
and the interstate is closed IN TOWN...
where (presumably) the sand trucks have been at it all night
the whole entire state is under a winter storm warning
never seen that before
looks like a day to work from & around the house
here's the local news link to our storm

Optimism

When we approach our objectives with the notion that success is in our future, we naturally feel more confident and are more apt to stride unhesitantly into those circumstances that will facilitate our eventual victory.
Optimism can serve as a wonderful source of motivation and inspiration, whether we are focused on mundane goals or our most beloved dreams, because it compels us to visualize the future in a positive light.
We tend to think about all the goodness that is waiting for us rather than the potential pitfalls that can keep us from achieving our purpose.
Consequently, we spend much of our time making sure we are doing all we can to realize the beautiful future we have seen in our mind’s eye.
Your positive visions of the future will help you come closer than ever to reaching your goals today.

Optimism is a wonderful thing in moderation
an over-abunance can lead us to do too much, too fast and too soon
like yesterday...
I had new windows installed in the house
should have been simple enough
well
not really
one of the living room windows was blocked by a very full
very leaning
bookcase
so I got that all cleaned off.
all of the windows had shiny bits
~ rocks & crystals ~
installed for good energy
they had to be moved.
the backyard patio had to be swept off
and all the creatures had to be moved to a safe spot for the install
quite a hectic morning
and a bit of over doing on my part
the install went woderfully
and the new energy star rated windows are even so much better than what we had
not a bad day
just an over-abunace of optimism about how much I could do on my own

where did the time go?

it flew by & away
November whichked by so very fast
we had a good visit at the hometown with my Dad, aunts, uncles and sibling
with the newest member of his family cheerfully up-chucking on all of us
--
as babies tend to do
and work ....
lots of it ...
always there ...
currently making for long days ...
health has been an issue as well ...
but,
as with all the ohter things we can't control,
I can only do what I can ...
keep making the rounds with the doctors ...
and keep a positive attitude
because it could be worse
(could be better as well but my goal is the "glass half full")
the weather is brisk, sunny and just right for fires in the hearth everynight
life is good
going by very quickly just now
perhaps it will slow down a bit
just a pause
or do we have to make those for ourselves?
