work

lookie, little blood cells!
I don't get to look at these that often anymore,
being in the clinic and out of the main clinical laboratory,
but I still work with them....well their cousins anyway.
I'm writing SOP and reviewing current SOP for the clinic and in doing so I get to research current issues that relate & often time get to see pics like these that remind me of my professional roots.

  1. You know what is really bizarre? Looking at those cells, knowing you have seen them, knowing how to separate them off into little piles but completely forgetting their names! After about 5 years of not looking at a diff, I was asked to do a second opinion, my fingers poised over the keys in mid air because I forgot the name of a metamylocyte. Even now I wonder if that is the right name.
